Positive vibes

Hello guys, so I decided to restore my back up on my iPad, which is the device I blog with, but unfortunately I ended up losing most of my data, so I have been unable to blog. But am back now.... Hiiiiiii... Lol

Today's post is one I learned from zinkata, yes I know i talk a lot about her, but what can I say, she's an awesome person and way more experienced than I am.
It's about positive vibes. One beautiful day last week, I was upset by a friend of mine in my school, and the next day I came back feeling reluctant to smile, and then I read her post that day that said, happiness is a state of mind, or something along that line. It meant happiness is a choice and you can change a situation by the way you look at a situation. It's something yu make up your mind to be. I was upset, but I didn't need the bad vibes to rub off on my friends or the people around me. So with great difficulty, I shifted my face, and I turned up my frown, went to my class, cracked a joke which had  everyone in stitches, and the day was saved.

Happiness truly is a state of mind. And I choose to be happy everyday. You should too.

On my outfit today, I was feeling really playful this Saturday so I teamed up my tulle skirt with my red cropped blouse, and added my cut out booties for a touch of grunge. I love an edgy outfit any day. But one thing I also love when going out with friends is to wear something I can switch up, in case I want to go somewhere less playful, like the club where flats aren't allowed. Thus later in the evening I donned my trusty white sandals and had a gay time.

I am having issues making my pictures larger, please bear with me. I will resolve this ASAP
Have a fab weekend ahead...
Stay fab, keep it classy .

I like it, but I can't wear it

Holla friends! Lol.. I have been terribly busy these past couple of weeks, so I thought to take a break and not think of anything. I am so sorry.

Today's topic is a statement I have heard people say over and over again, and it resounded in my head the moment I set eyes on my cut out booties. I have looked for them all over the place and I luckily got this at a steal, from a thrift store close to home. First I wondered, will people like them? Are they too unusual and people won't accept them? How do I pair it up to keep it minimal and not have people stare at my feet? Then I brushed off all negative thoughts and worries and decided that I'll pair it up with  this refashioned vintage dress (you should have seen the dress before) and my trusty sling-back -structured bag and I practically skipped out of the house feeling quirky and a little unsure to be honest. But then again, what makes a dress is the Wearer, thus I walked around, heads held high, and with my turn-down-for-what attitude, I sailed through the day in high spirits, and yes I got the; I-like-it-but-I-can't-wear-it line from a lot of people. Lol, conforming has never been my strong suit so yeah!!

The point is wear what makes you confident and comfy. If they refuse to be different. Then dare to stand out. If we get it right, that's great. If not? You've learned something new. It's a win win!

Stay fab, keep it classy.... Xxxx

Serenity in a noisy world

Hello guys. My post today is kind of spiritual, but work with me here. I have a good platform here and we are called to spread the word of God as children of God, thus this is me here sharing some wisdom I got from mass yesterday.
We live in a truly noisy world, do you agree? Especially us Africans lol. I often ask myself if God speaks to us like in the days of old. I envy the close relationship he had with David, Moses, Abraham. At one seemingly low point in my life, I could boast of such a closeness. I could just sit, and feel God's presence giving me joy! But I graduated and got immersed in a busy hard world and let's just say it wasn't easy to keep up our silent conversations. I was either to busy, tired or frustrated with what life throws at me. But yesterday I was reminded that in a noisy world such as ours, if we could at least set aside a little time to just sit quietly either for 30 minutes or 1 hour. In the presence of God, or just in our rooms, blocking out all the problems, troubles and noise of the world and just focus on God. But where we miss it is that, we are always busy, talking, telling God our problems, we never sit and ask God to speak to us. We don't listen to what he's saying. We are trying to speak in tongues, be in the spirit, shout our prayers, we don't remember that we need to listen to God's answers. I was super excited at hearing this. I mean, God has something to say to me? It's pretty amazing to know that my mighty God wants to talk to me. He also wants to talk to you to. So maybe sometime instead of shouting out prayers, blaming God, and complaining about things we can do nothing about. Why don't we stay quietly in his marvelous presence and say "speak to me lord" you just might be surprised.

My outfit is pretty straight foward. I am dressed in a sweater worn backwards. I needed to give it a different spark, because I love this sweater so much, and have worn it the same way, it was refreshing to style it another way. Also, the peplum belt was made for my Ankara gown, which I rocked to a weeding. (Find it on my Instagram page @hifashiononline) I decided to add it up to make it much muchier. My necklace is normally doubled up. So I let it drop at the back to add a bit of Zhou Zhou . Lol. Have a fabulous week ahead, stay fab, stay classy, stay stylish. Stay quiet. Lol

Be fab!!!
