Hi fashion weekly challenge; the floral trend!
1. FLARED PANTS
I don't think I could pull these off but I'm actually obsessed with this look. I think flared pants are awesome - I'm just more of a "skinny jeans" type of girl. To recreate this look, pick out a fun floral-printed pair of flared pants and pair it with a cute crop top! I'm loving this white one - it complements the pants really well without having the outfit look too overwhelming. These flared pants are just one of the cute ways to rock the floral trend.

Overalls are soooo in right now! I'm loving these floral printed overalls (similar ones can be found onforever21.com). They just scream out spring time and are perfect for running errands or just hanging out with your friends. I'm in love with this look! To recreate it, find matching set of shorts + crop top. The floral pattern is perfect for the spring! Don't forget to add your oversized sunglasses. That'll take your outfit to the next level. Could be worn to the beach...
This look is adorable. To recreate it, pair your floral-printed skirt with a cute crop top, a shirt or even a graphic tee! It'll give you a fun spring vibe that you can rock anywhere. I love the sunglasses, Such a cute detail!

How to wear metallic and look fab
1. PANTS
I'm obsessed with this look. Like leather, metallic pants totally give you a "bad-ass chick" vibe. Pair your metallic pants with some combat boots and a graphic tee or crop top! It'll definitely make a fashion statement when you're walking down the street. Pants are just one of the cool ways to wear metallic! Would you rock these?
2. TAILORED SUIT
Metallic tailored suit? Yes, please! I'm loving this look. It's very fashion-forward but at the same time, very work appropriate. You can go straight from the office to meeting up with a couple of friends. All the while, you'll look like you're ready to take over the world! Metallic suits will definitely keep you looking fab. What do you think about this?
3. SKIRT + DENIM
I'm definitely going to try to recreate this outfit for the spring! Pair a metallic skirt with a denim button-up. You can either dress the outfit up by wearing heels, or dress the outfit down by wearing flats/converse! The metallic skirt is very fashionable but the denim tones it down enough where you can wear it for running errands, or just hanging out with friends! Who knew denim + metallic looked so good together?!
4. SHOES
One of the easiest ways to incorporate metallic in your outfits is with your shoes! Whether it metallic-colored heels, or flats with metallic accents, it'll take your outfit to the next level! After all, shoes have the power to make or break an outfit, right? I don't know if I'd go for these metallic shoes, but I definitely love the idea of flats with metallic accents! Don't you?
5. NAILS
I'm obsessed with metallic nails. They just give any outfit an edgy feel! Plus, they kind of double as mirrors on your finger tips. How awesome is that?! Have you rocked metallic nails yet? There are so many different colors that you can try!
6. BLAZER
One of the most fashionable ways to rock metallic is on your blazer! Throw it over a simple white tee and black skinnies. It'll serve as your "pop of color" and you'll look fabulous in it! There are different colors that you can find online but I love the classics. What would you pair your metallic blazer with?
7. CLUTCH
Metallic clutches are so cute! I'm especially loving this one because of the pink accents! It's definitely a fun way to add some color to your outfit. Pair it with neutral colors - that way it won't clash with your outfit!
Well, there you have it! These are just seven out of many awesome ways that you can rock the metallic trend. If you're a fan of the trend, how do you like to wear metallic? Let's share outfit tips/advice in the comments! Of the list, which look is your favorite?

How to achieve fuller eyebrows with natural remedies
Inspiration Saturday; helpful tips on how to reach your goals
1. SET CLEAR GOALS
One of the first things you should do if you want to learn how to get motivated to fulfill all your dreams is to set some clear goals that will give you a direction to focus on. Also, make sure your goals are measurable and that they have an end point because just like Milton Erickson, the famous hypnotherapist, said, “A goal without a date is just a dream.” Try to constantly remind yourself of your goals and always check your progress, because this will help you stay motivated and do everything in your power to pursue your dreams.
2. FIND INSPIRATION
In order to stay motivated to reach all your goals, try to find all kinds of things that will inspire you and help you stay on track. For example, you could read other people’s success stories and see what they did to become so successful. Focus on the positive aspects of your goals and work hard to achieve them! Surround yourself with people who inspire you and don’t be afraid to ask for their help if you’re feeling a little demotivated. I’m sure they will be more than happy to help you and you will manage to see things from a different perspective.
3. REWARD YOURSELF
Reward yourself each time you manage to complete one step or one task that will help you reach your bigger goal. Try to feel that reward, enjoy it, because when you associate positive feelings with a certain goal, you reinforce that feeling with your subconscious and the more positive those feeling are, the more motivated you will be to start working towards fulfilling your dream.
4. COMMIT PUBLICLY
Make your goal public because this way, you will be more willing to do everything in your power to achieve it, since no one likes to look bad in front of other people. Just tell your friends, your family members or your co-workers about your goals and commit to giving progress updates to each of them every week or so.
5. START SMALL
When you try to reach your goals, start small, really small. If you have a hard time getting started, then you could do small, baby steps each day and really commit to this habit. Soon, you will manage to increase those steps and you will surely be amazed by the progress you’ve made. Let’s say that, for example, your goal is to wake up early every morning; instead of waking up 3 hours earlier the next day, you could try waking up a half an hour earlier and then do that for an entire week. Just remember: baby steps!
6. ASK FOR SUPPORT
Don’t do this alone! When you feel demotivated, ask for help and get support from your loved ones. Also, you could find someone who has a similar goal and you could share different experiences. You could encourage each other when you’re feeling down and this way, you will find the energy to work hard enough to fulfill all your dreams.
7. SQUASH NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
In order to focus on reaching your goals, try to squash all negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones. Recognize negative self-talk and try replacing it with corresponding positive thoughts. Don’t be too hard on yourself and don’t be afraid to fail because failure can actually be the best teacher you’ll ever have.
It’s not easy staying motivated all the time, since there are a lot of things that might not go according to your plan. You shouldn’t let yourself be discouraged though; just work hard, have patience, do everything in your power to fulfill your dreams and you will be successful. Do you know any other tips on how to get motivated and achieve your goals? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section!

5 reasons why your hair is not growing by klaus say kinks
Our hair is not an easy matter. Whether you’re just considering going natural or you’ve been at it for 5 years, there are some potential reasons why your hair may not be growing as well as you would like.
Reason #1: You Still Take Care of Your Hair as if It was Relaxed
Although natural hair is healthier than relaxed hair (in the sense that relaxers permanently break bonds holding together the proteins in your hair), it is still quite fragile and delicate. Comb with wide toothed combs and avoid brushes that may rip your hair strands. Do not avoid water; in fact, water is your hair’s best friend. If your hair is still short, gone are the days when you can just put your hair in a ponytail when you’re running late, so prepare yourself with a few quick and easy hairstyles that you can manage in the car (or if you dare, the bus) while stuck in traffic jams on the way to work.
Reason #2: You Don’t Let Your Hair Breathe or Rest
Do you take out your attach one night just to go to the salon the next day? Are you re-twisting each and every single night? Haba let your hair relax! Over-manipulation means your fingers have more chance to disturb your hair and cause it to knot on itself or break. If you play with your hair too much, you will be surprised that you don’t see any growth.
As for braiding and weaving, too much of this can also prevent your hair from growing, even if you are trying to let it rest. When you are repeatedly getting small or heavy braids and weaves, installed by stylists with no regard for your hair (the kind that bend your neck in all directions trying to comb), chances are that your hair, especially your edges, will suffer. Alternate protective styles – braids, weaves, and wigs – with styles that only use your own hair. If you are not ready to wear your hair out, wigs are a better option than weaves since you can remove them in the evening and moisturize your hair.
Reason #3: Your Hair is Not Well Balanced
Speaking of moisture, your hair may not be growing because it does not have the right balance of protein and moisture. If your hair is very stretchy and limp, you may need more protein. If you cannot find a protein based conditioner, make your own using a few eggs, honey, and oil.
If your hair feels dry and brittle, you probably need more moisture. With the disrespectful Naija air, this may seem like a never ending battle, but you can beat the weather by using a liquid based leave in conditioner (one whose first ingredient is water), follow it up with an oil like coconut oil, and then apply your styling cream. This LOC method (leave in, oil, cream) is a surefire way to lock in moisture.
Reason #4: You Are Not Measuring it Correctly
Shrinkage is both our friend and deepest enemy, because it lets us have double or triple the style options as those with straight hair. However, shrinkage can also make it seem as if your hair is not growing. The most accurate length checks are performed on straightened hair; but you can do one just as well by stretching your over the course of several days using braids, twists, or threading.
You may be tempted to check your hair every month or every few weeks, but trust me, all you will do is vex yourself. Furthermore, holding onto dead ends and using them to check your length is counterproductive. You should trim your hair regularly; you will feel better when you can say that your hair is even and long, rather than 1 strand of your countless strands is long and the rest are jagga jagga.
Reason #5: You Do Not Love Your Hair
Gbam! This is the real problem. Either you’re ‘jealousing’ someone else’s hair type or you’re always calling your own hair rough, difficult, ugly, or unmanageable. If you do not show your hair any love, it will not prosper. That is it.
